I have mentioned this before, I have this very expensive hobby of collecting Guerlain Meteorites (and pretty much everything Guerlain, come to think of it! :)). At most recent count I have 17 Meteorites powders, in fact I have all the Meteorites released by Guerlain since they changed the packaging from the big plastic containers to the smaller cardboard ones. (I don't know when that was, sometime around 2000 I think?) I also have one of their old style ones (Dorees - all gold powder balls). Here are a few photos of my Meteorites collection.

My favourite ones (although I love them all) are Red Pastel (works really well as a blush), Butterfly Pearls, Perles Imperiales and Plui de Nacres. I'm really looking forward to adding the new 3 Meteorites from the summer collection to my -not so - little stash. These little pearls of powders not only look beautiful, give a lovely glow to your face, but also smell devine. What's not to love?
Oh em geeeeeeeee, they are gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell too, its amazing when you open the packaging and get a whiff
I know, I was sniffing my hand all afternoon after I swatched the white Meteorites. :) Do you own many of these yourself?
ReplyDeleteI don't have any of these =( ...I'm so jealous!

But I have a question for you, do you really notice a difference between the different shades? I want to get some other ones, but I've heard that they really all turn out the same on the skin. What are your opinions on this?
I almost fainted when I saw this collection. Amazing! That Gold one is so lovely....
ReplyDeleteI WANT Plui de Nacres! I'm just speechless with your collection.
ReplyDeletewow what an amazing collection u got there ..since u're one of guerlain expert and I dont have any of these (yet) so i kinda need some advices here,
ReplyDeleteso Im looking for an all-over face powder with a subtle-glow finish without having too much glitters (so its kinda daytime friendly), do u think I should go for these meteorites ,the pressed ones, or the voyage compacts?
much appreciate for ur reply =)
It depends on how much you want to spend on it, the voyage powders are extremely expensive (over £100, although the refills "only" cost £30-ish), so if you don't want to fork out that much then I'd consider the other two options. I think the pressed ones are just more convenient versions of the balls, unfortunately those don't come with mirrors either, but at least they're not loose. However, I think the new shades of Meteorites are really good for everyday use, so I would definitely check them out, Teint Rose and Teint Beige are both great for lighter skintones.
